MAJOR POWER INFRASTRUCTURE UNDERWAY AT EDINBURGH PARK
Construction is now underway on a new Primary Substation located behind the multi-storey car park at Edinburgh Park. The facility, being delivered by Parabola, will provide the electricity supply for the entire all-electric development.
Once complete, the substation will be capable of supplying up to 20MVA of power – enough energy to run:
— 5 arenas
— 40 trams
— 4,000 flats
— 10,000 kettles
This significant piece of infrastructure is a crucial step in supporting the next phase of Edinburgh Park’s transformation. The power it delivers will enable the fully electric residential neighbourhood being created on the site, alongside offices, public spaces and leisure amenities.
Completion of the substation is scheduled for spring 2026.
